Chao Phya Arkara Maha Sena (Bunnag) had ten children by Chao Khun Rajabandh II (Chao Khun Nual). They and their descendants are entitled to be known as Rajineekul Sai Chao Khun Nual (members of the Queen's Family).
The most significant being:

Chao Khun Chai Dit, who became Somdej Chao Phya Borom Maha
Prayoorawongse, Regent of Siam, and whose line we shall follow.

Chao Khun Chai Tut, who became Somdej Chao Phya Borom Maha
Bichaiyayati, Regent of Bangkok, both brothers being appointed in the reign of King
Rama IV.

Chao Phya Arkara Maha Sena (Bunnag) was born in 1738 and died during the Reign of King Rama I 1805 at the age of 67.

Before we carry on it is necessary to back - track for a moment to record what the other branch of the family had been doing up to this point in our narrative.

It should be pointed out that it was 'Jai' who occasioned the most significant split in the family tree. His one son, Sane, followed in his father's footsteps and became a Buddhist and continued to serve with distinction the Kings of Siam right down to the present. However, we have another son of Jai, Shane, who remained a Muslim and he and his descendants served with distinction the Muslim Community in Siam. Shane was appointed Phya Chula Rajmontri in the reign of King Somdej Phra Chao Egatutr. Shane's sons followed in his footsteps. One son Gorn Keaow (Mohamudh Husoon), was a page in the court of King Somdej Phra Chao Egatutr but with his brothers and family were able to flee Krung Sri Ayudhya before it was razed to the ground by the Burmese in 1767. Eventually he became a page in the court of King Taksin and was given the title of Luang Sri Naowaratr. And in the reign of King Rama I, he received the title of Phya Chula Rajmontri - Leader of the Muslim Community in Siam. Kuti Luang Chao Sen was the first Kuti (Mosque) to be built in the Rattanakosindr (Chakri Dynasty era). He had two sons and seven daughters. His third daughter Khun Ying Honges became consort of King Rama II. Gorn Keaow died in the later part of the reign of King Rama I.

Gorn Keaow's younger brother Argahyee succeeded Korn Keaow as Phya Chula Rajmontri to become Leader of the Muslim Community in Siam. Argahyee was the builder of the Kuti Charoen Pas Chao Sen in Dhonburi. Argahyee had eleven sons and four daughters. During the reign of King Rama II, his second son, Sonn, received the title of Luang Sri Yos and his third son, Mook, received the title of Luang Sri Naowaratr. Argahyee died in the reign of King Rama II and was succeeded by Thuen Mohamudh Kasim as Phya Chula Rajmontri - Leader of the Muslim Community in Siam. Thuen was married to Khun Ying Nork and had Four children by her. His eldest son, Narm - Mohamudh Tagee, succeeded him in the reign of King Rama III as Phya Chula Rajmontri. As he was highly intelligent and capable man, he found himself involved in many State Affairs and positions. In fact, in the reign of King Rama IV he was acting Minister of the Royal Treasury. He had six sons and six daughters And died during the reign of King Rama IV. He was succeeded by Noi - Mohamudh Bakers As Phya Chula Rajmontri. He was the son of Agahyee - who was the son of Shane who was the son of Jai where the dicotomy originated! Noi had two sons and two daughters and died during the reign of King Rama V.

But we must return to the mainstream of our narrative.
